I complemented a quietly beautiful new build with a mix of native and Mediterranean grasses and perennials, trees, and dry climate shrubs. Gathering areas provide opportunities to view the expansive landscape through native black oaks.
I renovated this pool and patio to accommodate a multi-generational family for lively gatherings, bookmarked on either end with a fireplace and outdoor kitchen.
For this large garden, I employed low water-use plants like native ornamental grasses to separate the space from the adjacent vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley.
